Overview

Bring your omnichannel retail marketing expertise to Canon!  You will support account based marketing tactics that amplify Canon’s overall marketing strategy and vision. This position will be driven by strong marketing fundamentals, informed decision-making through analytics and will ultimately fuel a very agile marketing environment.  This role will be responsible for driving full funnel customer engagement through effective campaign execution and management.
 
The Marketing Specialist coordinates all aspects of product marketing content as it relates to the group’s retail marketing presence. Partner with internal teams, including the sales group, and external agencies to create and execute content to support marketing campaigns and meet sales objectives. Develop specific marketing plan and activities to enhance and distinguish the brand within the competitive environment. May engage in marketing research activities, monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs.

Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain day-to-day needs as well with the as a bigger picture strategy to help support the overall growth of assigned accounts. Develop a deep understanding of how to drive powerful performance across a variety marketing vehicles. 
- Work closely and collaborate with the Sales Organization, Business Planning, Strategy and Brand Marketing Teams to align with business targets and product focus across all marketing channels.
- Work with the respective retailers’ marketing and events teams to build out compelling and effective campaigns / activations.
- Manage and execute marketing campaigns, events, and trade shows.
- Collaborate with internal groups, and agency partners to develop marketing materials to support product launches and promotions.
- Support the sales channels from digital, social, in-store experience, to retail events and create engaged content to build up the brand and product awareness and help to convert the sales
- Create new and innovative methods to reach customers through key media events and programs

Qualifications

- Bachelor degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Business, Communications or related field) or equivalent experience required, plus 3-5 years of related experience (digital marketing preferred).
- Experience in performance driven marketing tactics and strategies in addition to having experience in digital marketing channels and tactics.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Powerpoint required.
- Prior presentation skills preferred.
- Ability for minimal overnight travel as needed.
- Analytical skills are required with ability to enable data-driven decisions in an agile fashion
- Creative, detail oriented thinker with ability to work in cross functional settings both as a leader and a participant, and ability to think outside of the box to find creative solutions that can differentiate our brand. 
- Excellent communication skills, supporting the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
