Overview

Bring your digital marketing expertise to Canon! The Customer Development Marketing Team has an exciting opportunity in Melville, NY, in the CRM Operations department for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Associate Email Automation Specialist (Associate Specialist, Marketing) to support email marketing operations through business systems within the Imaging Technologies & Communications Group – CX Marketing Division. The candidate will work closely with members of the email, strategy and planning and other marketing teams as well as IT and Business Intelligence (BI) teams.
 
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Mondays and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).  Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

Responsibilities

- Execute day-to-day operational tasks to support business-as-usual emails, from creative setup and HTML coding to testing/QA and deployment via provider platform
- Utilize QA Checklist to QA emails across the most popular clients, apps and device
- Set up A/B test and learn campaigns (subject line, creative, layout, copy, etc.) and report on findings
- Maintain automated, personalized campaigns to drive loyalty and engagement
- Work with internal stakeholders to assist in maintaining the email program calendar
- Create weekly, monthly and ad-hoc email campaign reporting and analyze findings
- Assist with uploading leads to their appropriate triggers
- Work closely with Marketing, Marketing Operations and IT teams to understand, assist and execute against key initiatives, prioritize backlog, and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain email ticketing platform by making sure it is up to date.
- Troubleshoot on production-related issues with ESP (email service provider)
- Monitor Campaign Deliverability for any potential issues
- Apply dynamic content within email triggers as needed

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 3 years of related experience
- Experience in marketing email management with cloud email vendors like Oracle Responsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Experian, Adobe Campaign [preferably Oracle Responsys] required
- Knowledge in HTML Email coding preferred
- Prefer experience in Tableau or Excel and analyzing data.
- Familiarity in SQL data modeling, data loading and data analysis; strong RDBMS (MySql, SqlServer or similar) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Customer Data Integration – both known and anonymous customers – processes and best practices
- Familiarity and knowledge of relational database design concepts (preferred but not required)
- Understanding of Data Driven Marketing, especially: Database Marketing, Direct Marketing, Email Marketing, Interactive Marketing, Digital Marketing
- Understanding of digital concepts [e.g.DMP, Tag Management, Ad Servers, etc.]
- Knowledge / Experience in other marketing channels like Social, Display, Push, or SMS
- Experience with test planning and use cases
- Assist in the ideation and creation of emails with the Strategy and Creative team as needed and during times of high volume
