- Responsible for performing sort and/or disassembly functions in order to break cartridges down for recycling.
- Requires ability to identify different types of cartridges (e.g., four).
- Manually sorts incoming products (e.g., cartridges) by product model/type to ensure accuracy of lot content.
- Places cartridge in proper type/model gaylord.
- May assist with off-loading trailer(s) containing incoming recycled cartridges.
- May remove cartridges from box and packaging materials.
- Requires ability to understand and operate one or more machines used to break down cartridges.
- Loads cartridges into one machine for drilling, toner extraction and/or pin removal.
- Operates machine buttons to advance cartridges through cartridge break-down process.
- Calls appropriate personnel (e.g., TPM) to troubleshoot/repair major machine malfunctions.
- Utilizes toner recovery equipment (e.g., vacuum) to ensure all unused toner is recovered from cartridge, conveyor belt and work area.
- May record machine downtime.
- Informs material handling personnel when cartridges and/or parts and materials need to be brought/removed from the workstation.
- May train others on station procedures and techniques to ensure quality, adherence to work standards and maintain production rates.

- Position requires high school diploma or GED preferred; or 1 year sorting, assembly or related manufacturing experience.
- Requires manual dexterity.
- Must be able to read and follow work standards.
