Overview

Responsible for identifying and developing Vertical Market programs and processes to grow the business. Leverages new and existing Canon resources in innovative, strategic ways to improve market position, revenues and profitability. Develops and executes strategic programs that result in profitable business growth for the Division. AREAS OF FOCUS: Sales Strategy and Channel Development; Vertical Market Strategy Execution; Market Research & Analysis; Marketing Plan and Material Development

Responsibilities

- Defines the short- and long-term goals, channel development, sales strategy, and execution of Canon Solutions America division Vertical Market offerings and the execution of those goals over time in order to improve Canon Solutions America division market position and revenues.
- Maintains extensive knowledge of developments in Vertical Markets including the creation of original research regarding top organizations and institutions in their respective industries their print programs and best practices in order to assess the competitiveness of the division offering and determine how to improve it.
- Advises Canon Senior Leadership regarding strategies to improve program value in existing division Vertical Market customers.
- Develops marketing strategy and branding for unique Vertical Market offerings including the creation of new marketing and sales collateral.
- Meets with Vertical Market C-level Executives through executive referrals, conference leads, sustainability organizations, and customer prospecting to discuss a strategic relationship with Canon based upon a leading edge, consolidated print strategy.
- Engages third party procurement Best Value consultants in developing collaborative selling strategies for Vertical Markets and partner with them through the Sales process.
- Trains a specialized team of division Sales Executives and Business Analysts who will focus on the new Vertical Market sales strategy, so they are prepared to support developed opportunities.
- Speaks at industry events and conferences targeting Vertical Market executives, visionaries and administrators in order to enhance visibility of the Canon Solutions America division brand.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key industry influencers to enhance Canon Solutions America division exposure to the market and position Company among Thought Leaders in Vertical Market solution delivery.
- Develops and formalizes new ways that division can enrich the Canon – Vertical Market customer relationship through such initiatives and actions as grants, R&D efforts, technology exposure and internship program development.

Qualifications

 
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 9 years of related experience.
- Exemplary team skills and competencies.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong communicator focused on clarity of message and responsible for the success of communications to team members and customers.
- Build trusting relationships with customers and peers.
- Strong research & analytical skills are required.
- Ability to interface and negotiate with senior executives; requires flexibility and sensitivity to client needs in its approach.
- Must have a professional image and polished presentation skills.
- May require up to 50% travel to client sites, including overnights (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
- May be required to work non-standard hours due to client deadlines.
 
In accordance with New York City law, we are providing the anticipated base salary for this role, if filled in New York City: $114,360 - $171,250.
