Overview

Canon USA has an exciting opportunity to join an innovative new team!  Our Business Information Communications Group (BICG) is looking for an experienced Strategic Business Developer within the Production Print industry, specifically within the realm of Analog & Self-Adhesive Labels.  You will have a unique opportunity to join a start-up team within Canon at the ground level, laying the foundation of client acquisition and business growth.  The Strategic Business Developer will drive and maximize the business in the self-adhesive label market by identifying business opportunities, building key customer & partner relationships and supporting sales operations in dedicated market regions.  This role will require a significant travel component which will include both domestic and overseas travel, providing many opportunities to meet and interact with potential clients throughout the entire lifecycle of the sales and business development process at trade shows and directly at client sites. 
 
This position is full time and is considered virtual. The office will be open 5 days a week; however you will not be required to report to the office unless there is a specific business need.  Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. 

Responsibilities

- Determine potential customers, generate leads and create sales opportunities
- Develop value propositions for the region 
- Travel to client sites both domestically and internationally
- Leverage industry contacts and network with prospective clients via tradeshows and social media
- Develop and strengthen business relationship with the assigned accounts
- Monitor and analyze the account data and optimize continuous business performance
- Set and implement a full account plan including all sales and marketing activities
- Develop, manage and ensure realization of the business development plan/budget
- Build, educate and support local sales organizations
- Provide input for the development of specific products and services
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors*

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 3 - 5 years of directly related experience, specifically within Self-Adhesive Label Print industry
- Flexibility to travel up to 50%; including domestic and international travel
- Fluency in English; Ability to communicate clearly with contacts that are non-native English speakers
- Ability to take initiative and confidently represent the Canon brand at tradeshows and conferences 
- Outgoing personality with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Expert use of Microsoft office tools such as Excel, MSWord, Powerpoint, Outlook and others 
In accordance with Colorado law, we are providing an anticipated salary range for this role if filled in Colorado at $93,400 - $114,500
