Overview

Serves as a subject matter expert with the Solution Design Team. Focus on offering recommendations to address complex issues and supporting resolution activities. Provides creative and effective solutions within the Managed Services and WTS space, and is directly involved with post sales consultative customer support, internal Canon Solutions America support, team and customer initiatives, policies or program changes to support strategic customer and/or Canon goals as assigned.

Responsibilities

RFx and Proactive Proposal Solution Design Support:
- Facilitates the solution design process for potential clients, ensuring designs meet or exceed client requirements and resolve stated issues.
- Conducts internet research on the client, initiatives, geographic distribution, IT priorities, and current operations to customize designs.
- Compiles insightful discovery questions for the client in order to facilitate an accurate design.
- Coordinates with technology specialists (NCS and 3rd party) to review and finalize software configurations required for RFx projects.

Solutions Governance:
- Provides industry expertise and innovative solutions in a fast paced, growing environment including leading the team's innovation efforts while establishing best practices.
- Strong proficiency with Canon MFD, and associated software and third-party products.
- Supports planning, development, and innovation goals by providing analysis and recommendations on emerging business/technology trends (i.e. cloud, digital office, AI, machine learning) and proposing new business models and offerings.
- Provide year-end review of solutions and research added.
- Assist in developing strategic roadmaps for upcoming year detailing new research and solution partners.
- Develop and update a solution matrix as a user guide for solutions within the WTS and Managed Services portfolio.
- Participate in Partner relationship development.
- Create contact and vendor relationships with solutions to be utilized by the department.
- Participate in developing schedule of recurring trainings, product updates, etc. with vendors utilized by department.
 
- Additional responsibilities and expectations related to providing high level subject matter expertise on operational solutions and software systems that are within Canon Solution Americas’ offering.
- Additional responsibilities and expectations related to crafting strategic direction based on relationships and research within the industry.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience.
- Exemplary team skills and competencies.
- Strong communicator focused on clarity of message and responsible for the success of communications to team members and customers.
- Build trusting relationships with customers and peers.
- May require up to 30% travel to client sites, including overnights (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
 
In accordance with applicable law we are providing the anticipated base salary for this role:  $73,930 - $110,720.

Hybrid - This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office two company designated days a week and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).
