About the Role

Canon Financial Services in Mount Laurel, NJ is currently seeking a Financial Analyst (Analyst, Financial). The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of the company’s financial reporting, as well as maintaining and operating the forecasting and budgeting models. Also responsible for interpreting financial results, researching variances and communicating significant finds to management. The role requires the abilities to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively both within the department and externally to deliver timely, accurate results.
 
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).  Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. 

Your Impact

- Prepare monthly financial reporting at company, product, channel and cost center levels comparing actual results to budget, forecast and prior year actuals
- Participate in forecasting and planning processes on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Maintain forecasting/budgeting model and offer suggestions for model and process improvements
- Prepare weekly cash forecasts and work with Treasury Department to manage cash needs
- Analyze financial results and create commentary explaining variances, as well as identify trends to assist management in decision-making and risk/opportunity identification
- Present monthly financials to company President
- Work with management to analyze expenses and other operating metrics
- Forecast cash needs on a daily and monthly basis to parent organization
- Maintain accurate cost center level reporting by auditing general ledger activity and working with Accounting Department to make corrections
- Prepare financial data required for internal and corporate presentations
- Use Hyperion Planning, Oracle Financials and other software to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements
- Develop complex financial calculations to support key business initiatives, profitability modeling and ad hoc financial analysis
- Conduct industry research on competitors and create benchmarking target and performance measurement statistics
- Present financial results and budgets to departments within the organization
- Implement new reporting tools and systems
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers with a focus on building customer loyalty through consistently accurate and timely responses
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience
- 3+ years in financial services
- Operates independently, with general direction from manager
- Master’s Degree or CFA preferred but not required
- Experience in Hyperion Planning, Oracle Financials, Business Objects, Tableau preferred but not required
- Advanced MS Excel and Access skills
- Strong modeling and analysis skills
- Effective follow up abilities combined with a focus on customer service
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team Player
 
The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
 
In accordance with applicable law, we are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $54,460 - $81,550 annually
