About the Role

Canon USA in Melville, NY is currently seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist (Sr Specialist, Project Mgmt) A Senior Project Management Specialist supporting various software solutions is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software implementations, integrations, and enhancements related to these platforms. This role requires strong coordination between technical teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless deployment, optimal performance, and alignment with business objectives.
 
This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).  Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

Your Impact

- Responsible for leading and managing client and/or internal projects across all Canon domains for software and professional services projects
- Promote and apply PMI – PMBOK best practices to Canon’s internal and client projects and have a good understanding of digital printing, document management, content management, archiving, and scanning solutions and apply structured project management skills across a wide portfolio
- Track progress and review project tasks to make certain milestones are being met appropriately; assess project issues and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals and pro-actively communicate project status, issues, and risks to management
- Utilize change control process as required, and collect and document lessons learned for knowledge base inclusion. Adhere to department policies, procedures and methodologies, and conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder’s needs and requirements continuously in view
- Address the implementation concerns of strategic and major accounts and certain strategic internal projects
- Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects. Responsibilities include functioning as a Team Lead as well as contributing to the Professional development of your peers, PM Specialists and PM Associates
- Assist with contributing to Sales and their Pre-Sales efforts, including participating in RFP response and Customer presentations regarding Project Management content
- Responsibilities also involve leading and contributing to team initiatives/projects including developing and documenting best practices, process improvement, team content and collateral and promoting overall Project Management team awareness within Canon

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
- Experience with Project Management methodologies, tools and techniques (SDLC and Agile/Scrum/Waterfall)
- Excellent Communication Skills
- IT Focus may be applicable: 5-8 years of relevant IT or business work experience
- PMP Certification (Preferred)

We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $92,210 - $138,080 annually
