The annual salary range for this position is $62,500 - $86,125 | FLSA: Non-Exempt

Your Impact

- Sets up and operates machine tools and fits and assembles parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout and machining procedures.
- Assembles, repairs and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units.
- Sets up and operates 5 Axis Machines to machine parts to specifications.
- Uses extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures regarding the 5 Axis machine and equipment.
- Inspection reports and makes program adjustments as needed.
- Studies specifications and determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and tools, materials, and machines required.
- Measures, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining. Assists in determining dimensions and tolerances.
- Sets up and operates metal-removing machines, such as lathe, milling machine, WEDM, PEDM or manual, surface grinders, to machine parts to specifications.
- Uses precision measuring instruments to adhere to specifications, dimensions and alignment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- May operate precision measuring tools such as computerized milling machine, cylindrical grinders, surface grinders and EDM machine.
- Confers with appropriate personnel relating to machining requirements, design changes and / or equipment changes.
- Demonstrates knowledge of 3D Modeling CAD software.
- Uses extensive knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures in regard to machine shop operation and equipment
- Programs CNC milling machines using various types of software applications.
- Directs and leads other with the shop.

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

- Associate’s degree, apprenticeship program, or two year technical or trade school degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 7-10 years relevant shop experience.
- Must be able to operate multiple pieces of equipment.
- CNC experience required.
- Established shop experience.
- Working knowledge of Siemens NX or other CAD software.
- Experience with Fanuc, Makino Pro Series and Heidenhain CNC controllers.
- Experience with Makino equipment preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
